Leak in roof, caused by a gap between shingles and flushing at a corner in the roof was repaired by sealing the gap.
I had the cause detected by another company because they didn't have the equipment. I like that they were forthright about that, rather than come in and try to "guess" the source of the leak, like FOUR other roofers before these guys.
My Advice: If you have a leak in your home, regardless of where the leak is, get professionals with leak detection equipment. Don't depend on freelancers or repair technicians to get the leak detected.
The roofer sealed the gap with silicone after replacing about 9 shingles on the roof and then filled the gap with silicone. However, the job wasn't done very well because of which the metal flushing (after being yanked at by so many roofers), which now had a springiness to it came up and revealed the gap again.
I waited for it to rain hard (which it did last night) and no leak.
